Senior Advisor Water Literacy & EducationThis role has influence and accountability for the team that designs and delivers strategically aligned education programs, driving measurable improvements in water literacy among Sydney Water's customers and stakeholders.The Senior Advisor works closely with the Water Literacy and Education Coordinator, supported by Education Officers and project-based staff as needed.About the roleLead the design, development, and evaluation of high-quality community education programs.Develop and deliver the annual Water Literacy and Education plan aligned with Sydney Water Strategy and operational plans.Research and map key education and community audiences and their development needs.Ensure school-based programs align with relevant curriculum requirements.Review the Community Education program regularly to assess objectives and outcomes.Realign priorities, channels, and target sectors to meet strategic and business needs.Develop continuous improvement plans for education programs and initiatives.Integrate digital literacy into program design and delivery to reach diverse audiences.Manage the rollout of community education initiatives, build external partnerships, and develop project resources to enhance water literacy.Collaborate with the employee communications team to raise water literacy awareness across Sydney Water.About youMinimum five years' experience leading community education programs in a corporate or government setting.Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly.Exceptional emotional intelligence, including team development, coaching, diplomacy, and conflict management skills.Strong planning, influencing, negotiation, facilitation, and issues management skills.Excellent relationship and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and credibility.Understanding of the school education sector, curriculum frameworks, and adult and child learning principles.Please see the full position description for detailed accountabilities.
