IGO is a leading Australian diversified mining company, listed on the ASX, that produces gold, nickel, copper, zinc, and silver.They are currently seeking an Emergency Services Officer to join their vibrant HST team at Jaguar.Reporting to the HST Manager, this is a permanent full-time position on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster, flying in and out of Perth.The Jaguar Operation was acquired by IGO in 2011.

It originally comprised the Jaguar and Bentley zinc-copper-silver-gold underground mines and processing facility.The Jaguar Operation is an owner-operated mechanised underground mine that uses predominantly long-hole stoping with backfill.Mining is carried out using a fleet of 1700 Caterpillar Load Haul Dumps, excavators, 60t Caterpillar trucks, and other support equipment.

Ore is hauled to surface by truck to ore stockpiles and then transported to the nearby Jaguar mill for processing.The Emergency Services Officer will be responsible for : Facilitating injury management, including liaising with health professionals, supporting injured workers, and administering Return to Work Plans;Supporting injury incident investigations and reporting;Assisting the Site Registered Nurse with biological monitoring and wellness assessments;Providing leadership to the Emergency Response Team (ERT), including developing and delivering emergency response training;Developing, reviewing, and maintaining emergency response procedures and systems;Conducting inspections and stocktakes of all on-site Mines Rescue equipment, including the Mine Ambulance and Fire Truck;Ensuring training complies with legislation and company policies;Developing, reviewing, and facilitating risk assessments and rescue plans for confined spaces.

Location : Perth Work Type : Full Time Sector : Mining, Resources & Energy - Health, Safety & Environment Employees travel to site via weekly charter flights to Leonora or on commercial flights.

Upon arrival at Leonora airport, employees are transferred to the Jaguar Village, approximately 40 minutes away.The Jaguar Village offers accommodation with all amenities, including meals, and a range of leisure facilities such as sports courts, a pool, wireless internet, and mobile coverage.Minimum requirements include : At least 3 years of experience in a similar underground mining role;RII30709 - Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue;Certificate IV in Training and Assessment;Nationally Accredited Drug and Alcohol Testing training;Proven leadership in an Emergency Response Team;Experience in Mine Rescue, Emergency Response, and site Medic responsibilities;Ability to develop and deliver emergency response training;Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations;Strong communication and IT skills;Ability to work under pressure and attention to detail.
