If you’re driven by purpose and eager to make an impact, this is your moment.

You’ll join a team characterized by momentum, humility, and a belief that better decisions start with great people.

We value those who care about doing what’s right — for our members, our business, and each other — and who want to shape the next chapter of superannuation in Australia.

Responsibilities include :

  • Supporting the team as subject matter experts on risk management frameworks, controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Providing guidance to the business on risk identification, assessment, and mitigation.
  • Collecting and analyzing data related to risk and control activities, and preparing reports on key findings and trends.
  • Coordinating training and coaching for Line 1 teams to ensure understanding of risk management practices.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements within the Line 1 Risk team to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Minimum qualifications and experience :

  • 1-3 years of experience in risk management, compliance, or control advisory within superannuation or financial services.
  • Basic understanding of superannuation activities, products, and regulations, including APRA guidance and standards.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills to clearly convey risk concepts.
  • Preferred qualifications and skills :

  • Tertiary qualifications in a business-related discipline (desirable).
  • Experience with data analysis tools and understanding of risk and compliance frameworks.
  • Ability to build stakeholder relationships and work collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Why join us :

  • Professional development opportunities, engaging work, and supportive leadership.
  • A vibrant, inclusive culture fostering innovation and impact.
  • Career growth opportunities, benefits, and well-being support.
  • Mercer, part of Marsh McLennan, is a global leader in risk, strategy, and people consulting. We serve clients in 130 countries, with over 90,000 colleagues and $24 billion in revenue. We are committed to diversity, inclusion, and flexible work arrangements, including hybrid work with at least three days in the office.
