Our 172-room premium hotel offers an exceptional location, directly opposite Southern Cross station.

We are currently seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to join our dynamic Team. In this role you will be responsible for the professional running of the housekeeping department, achieving high standards of cleanliness for guest rooms, public areas, and back of house areas. You will need to use your strong time management and organisational skills to plan and coordinate all housekeeping tasks and activities. The role will require you to possess a strong understanding of work manual handling techniques and safe work practices.

You will be an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor with a passion for empowering, developing, and motivating your team to succeed. You will have progressive experience in Housekeeping in a similar capacity operating in a busy hotel environment and have unrestricted, full working rights in Australia.

A driven problem solver, you will have a creative approach to overcoming sticky situations and will be well-versed in planning and coordinating Housekeeping tasks and activities. Ideally, you will have comprehensive computer skills to support your administrative tasks and a strong understanding of manual handling and safe work practices.

• What you'll be doing
• Assist in the day-to-day supervision of the housekeeping team
• Assist the Housekeeping Manager in driving the productivity, motivation and development of all Housekeeping team members
• Assist with the induction and training of new Housekeeping team members
• Ensure high cleanliness and productivity standards are met and kept in accordance to company guidelines
• Organise and allocate rooms for the rostered team members on shift
• Ensure appropriate chemical safety and Workplace Health & Safety standards and practices are maintained
• Be aware of labour costs and productivity output according to occupancy levels while also monitoring the room cleanliness standards through daily inspections
• Qualifications

• Exceptional attention to detail with previous Housekeeping supervisory experience
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills with a friendly and outgoing personality
• A quick thinker, who can think on the spot to ensure the day runs as smoothly as possible
• Excellent grooming and presentation skills
