Enterprise Senior Infrastructure Engineer

We currently have two internal secondment opportunities available for a period of six months. In the role of Enterprise Infrastructure Senior Engineer you will provide technical leadership and act as an escalation point for the Enterprise Infrastructure Support team. Youll also lead project work for Enterprise customers and support the implementation of best practices across their IT systems.

Lets talk about you

You will play a key role providing technical leadership and escalation to the Enterprise Infrastructure Support team. To be successful you will possess :

Previous experience in a Senior Systems Administration Senior Systems Engineer or similar role with an MSP focus and with a strong desire to provide service to the customer beyond their expectations.

A broad and demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft technologies preferably in Microsoft 365 and Azure.

A passion and drive for continuous learning and self-improvement coupled with the ability to quickly gain an understanding and competency in new technologies.

Demonstrated experience coaching and mentoring other technical team members.

As the Enterprise Senior Infrastructure Engineer you will put our values up in lights by delivering these activities and outcomes :

Undertaking project and technical escalation tasks as a key part of the Enterprise Infrastructure Services team.

Keeping up to date with the latest products services and emerging technologies within the Enterprise Infrastructure Services space.

Identifying and implementing business systems and processes to improve efficiency of the team and increase the reliability performance and functionality of customer solutions.

Engaging with the sales account management and other ABB technical and operational teams where required to ensure a world-class customer experience.

Acting as an escalation point for the Enterprise Infrastructure Support and other teams as required.

Overseeing or leading the analysis design documentation planning deployment and testing of complex adds moves or changes for ABB Enterprise Government & Wholesale customer services.

Assisting with defining prioritising coordinating and executing ABB Enterprise Government & Wholesale projects and ensure they are completed in a timely manner with a particular focus on Microsoft 365 Azure security Windows Servers high availability and disaster recovery.

Working alongside the Enterprise Infrastructure Services team leaders and the ABB product and Strategy Team to implement vendor relationships and best practice systems tooling and professional development for the Infrastructure Services team including :

Microsoft Partner status systems and infrastructure

Remote Monitoring and Management

Vendor Qualifications

Partner and vendor management

Managing all internal and external relationships in the best interests of the business maintaining up to date case notes and data management.

Using data and other techniques to identify improvements to customer solutions including :

Identifying planning and implementing network or security system changes and improvements.

Identifying defining and implementing policy or process changes.

Training or skills gaps are identified and addressed through coaching on the job or formal training.

Identifying and implement automation of regular tasks to improve efficiency of the team and increase the reliability performance and functionality of customer solutions.

Ensuring seamless operations collaboration with other departments addressing incidents managing service requests and successfully executing project work as requested by your manager.

Maintaining high levels of technical competency through continued learning and application of relevant research training self-study and certifications.

Participating in an on-call rotation that focuses on restoring incidents affecting Aussie Broadband customer services outside our normal support hours.

Providing support for after-hours tasks as required in alignment with customer needs as they arise including scheduled maintenance work.
