Sydney Local Health District has a long and proud history of delivering care in the community including prevention, early intervention, assessment, treatment, health maintenance and continuing care services designed to improve and support the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities.

About The Role

The purpose of an Environmental Services employee of the Sydney Local Health District Health Centres is to provide an efficient and effective cleaning and waste service for patient and non-patient areas. Candidates will be flexible in adapting to changing cleaning priorities and facility needs that result in scheduling or rescheduling of workload / work location.

Cleaners will be required to work across Health Centre facilities. Locations include Croydon, Marrickville, Redfern, Green Square, Newtown, Everleigh and Canterbury. Casual shifts are typically 6.00am-2.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Ideal Candidate

All candidates must provide evidence of their working rights within Australia.Ability to demonstrate good oral and written communication skillsAbility to follow written and verbal instructions and directions, and work with a minimum of supervision.Demonstrated suitable experience and ability to perform general cleaning duties including operation of motorised cleaning machinery and use of cleaning equipment.
