Job Description

Cognizant Workday Practice is seeking a Principal Data Consultant experienced in Human Capital Management. As a Principal Data Consultant, you will guide clients through transformation, implementation, and operation phases of a Workday implementation.

This role is ideal for self-starters eager to work across various customers and all phases of Workday system implementations. We provide world-class training and a supportive network of mentors. Join our team of experienced Workday professionals in our dynamic, fast-paced consulting practice.

Responsibilities

  • Become a Workday HCM and Data expert with knowledge of design, configuration, testing, and implementation.
  • Partner with your team and clients to achieve excellence in each project phase.
  • Learn to use Workday tools such as iLoad, EIB, Object Transporter, Advanced Load, and Migration Recipe for tenant-to-tenant migrations.
  • Design and generate data tracking and monitoring tools, and develop clear, useful reports.
  • Utilize your technical skills to convert and map data sources into conversion templates via iLoads.
  • Guide clients through data extraction, cleansing, loading, and configuration of business processes and security.
  • Create ETL scripts for data transformation and loading, and develop strategies for data normalization.
  • Support validation of data loaded into Workday.
  • Engage with clients throughout all project phases to ensure smooth transitions from legacy systems.
  • Perform tasks independently while updating clients and team members on progress.
  • Participate in training and share skills within the organization.

Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT, MIS, or related field.
  • 2-5 years ERP Data Conversion or HCM implementation experience.
  • 2-5 years Workday HCM experience preferred.
  • Experience with data conversion, mining, and loading.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
