Disability Support Worker (Casual)

We're looking for passionate, reliable, experienced and relatable support workers to join our team and make a real impact in the lives of boys and men.

• About the Role

As a Support Worker at Headstart Melbourne, you'll work directly with participants to :

• Provide community access and one-on-one support tailored to their goals.
• Assist in developing life skills, routines, and independence.
• Be a positive role model and foster meaningful connections.
• Be able to hold a safe space for our participants to feel comfortable in expressing their needs
• Support participants in outdoor activities and daily challenges that promote confidence and growth.

• About You

We're looking for someone who :

• Is passionate about working with boys and young men and understands the importance of having positive male role models.
• Has experience in the field
• Can lead by example, showing resilience, empathy, and confidence.
• Has strong interpersonal skills and can connect with young people in a genuine and relatable way.
• Is proactive, reliable, and committed to supporting participants in reaching their goals.
• Holds or is willing to obtain a valid NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid and CPR certification, and a driver's licence.

Pay : $33.50 - $60.00 per hour

Expected hours : 10 - 30 per week

Licence / Certification :

• First Aid Certification (preferred)
• Working with Children Check (preferred)
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (preferred)
• National Police Certificate (preferred)
• Driver Licence (preferred)
