Perth Film Studiosis WA’s first dedicated screen production facility, providing 'dry hire' soundstages, workshops,and ancillary spaces designed to attractsignificant domestic and international productions. Based in Malaga, with commissioning scheduled for early 2026, this purpose-built facility is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee maintenance, functionality, and ensure safe working spaces.This role is vital in fostering an environment that enables creativity, innovation, and seamless production.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Operations Manager , you will play an integral role in the testing and commissioning phase, and the ongoing operationof the facility. Your responsibilities include :

  • Infrastructure Maintenance – Oversee maintenance schedules and build strong vendor relationships.
  • Production Readiness – Support flexible space configurations to meet diverse production needs.
  • Operational Efficiency – Optimize facility use and ensure minimal downtime.
  • Sustainability Initiatives – Lead energy-saving and environmentally friendly practices.
  • Compliance & Safety – Ensure adherence to Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) and industry-specific regulations.
  • Contract Management – Develop and manage contracts with specialist vendors.
  • Continuous Improvement – Drive innovation and problem-solving in facility operations.
  • About You

    We welcome applicants with a broad range of backgrounds and experiences. You will :

  • Have relevant electrical qualifications , including licensure as an electrician or equivalent industry certifications.
  • Bring 5+ years of experience in facilities management , with a strong track record in handling budgets and vendor contracts.
  • Be passionate about problem-solving and technical innovation , with a hands-on approach to optimizing systems.
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a WHS certification , ensuring safety-first operations.
  • Have experience in creative or event production environments —while not required, this will be well regarded.
