Cardiac Physiologist - Sonographer

About the role

The role will provide cardiac ultrasound diagnostic testing in support of the Cardiology service to both adult and paediatric clients.

• Perform cardiac ultrasound scans and provide accurate reports of observations for both inpatient and outpatient clients across the service as requested
• Assist with the provision of other cardiac tests in support of the Cardiology unit as directed by the supervisor
• Clean and maintain all equipment used for the above cardiac tests
• Contribute to and participate in appropriate quality activities to improve all aspects of the Cardiology Service
• There will be initial orientation and training to assist with starting in the position
• There is ongoing support from senior staff and regular, ongoing training and education to ensure continued development and accreditation
• Training in paediatric cardiac ultrasound is offered to all staff
