  • About the Company _
  • Our client is a leader in the manufacture and marketing of brand name Agchemical / Nutrition products. Reporting directly to the Sales Manager you will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to optimise the company's profitability through the development of effective customer relationships.
  • About the role _
  • Building good customer relations with resellers and distributors through positive sales and marketing activity to improve the sales of our clients' products in your Territory.
  • Responsibilities _
  • To establish new products / technologies in the Australian Agricultural market _
  • To acquire a sound product knowledge of our clients' products _
  • To focus in a pro-active manner on obtaining orders for our client's products as a priority _
  • To design, implement and monitor annual sales and marketing plans, in conjunction with the Regional Sales Manager _
  • To build and expand a sound customer base, increasing the market share and the spread of market sectors and industry base where possible _
  • To ensure that the network of current and potential customers is maintained through periodical external visits and telephone sales calls _
  • To develop marketing strategies for key products that fit your market and, where possible, coordinate on a national basis the marketing of these products. _
  • To develop new products and technologies with Key Influencers and customers _
  • To monitor and give feedback to the Regional Sales Manager on competitor's activities _
  • To ensure that the professional image of the company is maintained at the highest level at all times, especially on customer's premises _
  • To ensure any commercial dealings are accurate and any payment collections are actioned _
  • Requirements _
  • Education / Experience / Skills _
  • Tertiary qualification in Agricultural Science or equivalent is preferred _
  • Strong influencer and negotiator _
  • Demonstrated Sales and Business Development ability - progresses each interaction to a commitment _
  • Strong organisational and time management skills _
  • Competent Presentation skills _
  • Ability to proactively identify market opportunities _
  • Commercial acumen _
  • Able to promote / sell the value proposition _
  • Current Driver's License _
