The Initial Assessment Planning (IAP) Worker plays an important role in assisting our customers who present as being homeless or are at risk of homelessness.
You will display empathy and use your solutions-focused approach to conduct assessments with our customers with the view to preventing and minimising homelessness in the community.
You will assess our customer's eligibility and assist them to obtain adequate accommodation through the provision of housing information, direct financial assistance, and / or targeted referrals to relevant external services.
Advocating on our customer's behalf, you will liaise regularly with external stakeholders including Centrelink, real estate agents, and private landlords.
We have one part time permanent 67.5hr per f / n position available.
Week 1 - Tuesday to Friday 9am - 5pm
Week 2 - Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm
To be successful for this role, you will have a genuine passion for wanting to support vulnerable people in our community.
Please note that satisfactory police check is required for all staff and those with client related responsibilities are required to provide a NDIS and Working with Children Check (WWCC).
