The OpportunityWe have an exciting opportunity for Apprentice Body Builder to join the team at National Truck Repairs!
As an Apprentice Body Builder, you will be responsible for repairing damaged heavy vehicles, specifically buses. You will work under the guidance of experienced Body Builders to learn the techniques and skills required to produce high-quality work on large vehicles.
What you will learnAs an Apprentice Body Builder at National Truck Repairs, you will learn to :
Perform inspections and complete damage reports as per company proceduresCarry out mechanic diagnosis, repair and replacements as requiredPerform repairs and refurbishing of recycled parts to required quality standardsEnsure no vehicle or component is ever refitted or supplied if not safe to do soUpon request carry out minor / small repairs as per Job SheetEnsure authorised before proceeding with additional work.Double check new parts are correct and not damaged.Does this sound like you?Strong work ethic and reliability : We are looking for someone who will be punctual, dependable, communicative and willing to work hardWillingness to learn and take direction : You will need to follow instructions from experienced staff and be open to learning new techniques and skillsAttention to detail : Body Building requires focus and the ability to pick damaged partsGenuine desire, commitment and enthusiasm to build a career in the heavy motor repair industryWe know that sometimes people need non-standard work hours, and would be happy to discuss the options available in this role, or similar roles across our business.
