It has a strong and proud history in education, research and provision of high quality clinical care.

Royal North Shore Hospital provides specialty services including major trauma, severe burns, spinal cord injuries, neonatal intensive care, bone marrow transplantation, neurosurgery and interventional neuroradiology alongside acute medical, surgical, mental health, paediatric, cancer and maternity services.

The campus is also home to The Kolling – a medical research institute jointly governed with the University of SydneyFor more information You'll Be DoingThe Nuclear Medicine SRMO is expected to provide effective clinical management of patients, under appropriate supervision, including patient assessment, performing procedures and maintaining adequate medical records; and to develop expertise in medical practice, in a complex clinical environment.

This includes supervised general medical management of patients admitted to specialist departments.Merit SelectionNSW Health follows a merit-based recruitment and selection process as per Policy Directive PD2023_04 – Recruitment and Selection of Staff to the NSW Health Service.Candidates will be assessed against the Essential Requirements and Selection Criteria for this position.

Candidates invited to interview will need to bring originals of qualifications or licenses required for the position for sighting by the panel.Qualifications and experience commensurate with the Essential Requirements for the roleDemonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team in the planning, delivery and coordination of patient care.High level communication skills, including the ability to convey, and adapt verbal and written information to a clinical and non-clinical audience.Demonstrated commitment to a career in medical imaging, especially Nuclear MedicineDemonstrated good organisational and time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environmentDemonstrated high level independent clinical skills and judgement, with the ability to make sound decisions and problem solve with an awareness of limitations and ability to learn independently and modify behaviour accordingly.Understanding and promotion of collaborative effort and empathy within a heterogeneous team environment such as the Medical Assessment Unit.Excellent academic record commensurate with experience, evidence of on-going learning, teaching activities potential involvement with projects and research publications.Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specific DiseasesTo be employed by NSW Health you are required to provide evidence of vaccination to comply with the NSW Health Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy PD2024_015, this includes any amendments made from time to time.Working with Children CheckThis position requires a Working with Children Check (WWCC) issued by Service NSW.
