Our client is seeking an experienced Project Environmental Specialist for 3 days a week for a 6-month casual contract in their Bentley office. Occasional regional travel required.

Manage the technical interface between the Horizon Power project team and environmental consultants and service providers.
Coordinate the environmental survey and assessment activities (undertaken by external parties) with the other technical disciplines of the project.
Ensure that environmental survey and assessment work meets Horizon Power's requirements and standards.
Technical review of environmental survey and assessment works and deliverables.
Tertiary science degree, preferably in environmental science, environmental management or a related discipline is required.
WA Drivers license class "C".
Extensive experience in environmental impact assessment and State and Federal approvals of major projects.
Extensive knowledge of relevant legislation and environmental standards is required.
Advanced GIS skillset.
Delivery of environmental surveys and approvals for linear infrastructure in Western Australia.
At least 5 years practical experience in a role delivering environmental approvals.
Experience coordinating and managing delivery of environmental surveys in regional of WA.
Managing environmental compliance.
