About the Company and Role

The National Basketball League (NBL) is regarded as one of the premier basketball organisations and is home to some of the world's best athletes. It operates an innovative media platform, always searching for the next growth opportunity, and is a sports entertainment experience like no other.

The NBL is chiefly responsible for the management and delivery of the men's professional basketball league in Australia and New Zealand. With a focus on success and growth, the NBL's vision and determination, is to be positioned as one of the leading sporting codes in Australia.

NBL Oz Gaming is the newest franchise to join the NBA 2K League, based out of the United States, representing both Australia and the NBL on the world stage.

Ahead of the season commencing in March, the team is recruiting an Operations Coordinator who will also serve as the team's Assistant Coach for the season based in the central market location, supporting the players and Head Coach with what they need to succeed during the season.

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with Head Coach on weekly schedules as well as managing training and film sessions

Assist Head Coach with producing scouting reports for match ups

Make use of available video to produce content for film sessions

Manage all apparel and outfitting needs for players

Create, update and maintain database of stats and box score for team and opponents to be used for scouting purposes

Assist from time to time capturing and posting content to social media channels

Ensure sponsorship and commercial requirements are delivered by the team

Collaborate with internal departments and team on unique activations, such as contests, promotions, community events, partnerships, etc

About You

Strong understanding of NBA 2K League structure and community

Excellent communicator

Ability to make decisions and act accordingly

Experience and involvement in the NBA 2K community

Strong written communication and basic understanding of producing documents for team use

Highly organised with strong time-management skills

Based in the United States and willing to relocate to central market location for NBA 2K League season
