The Gold Coast Hub Manager is responsible for engaging coaches, leading performance support delivery and operations for the swimming programs in the Gold Coast region (the Gold Coast hub).
The Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS) is on a bold journey towards Brisbane 2032 and beyond. Following the extraordinary success of Queensland athletes at the recent Olympic and Paralympic Games, we are now focused on delivering even more medal-winning moments through to Los Angeles 2028 and our home Games in 2032.
From 1 July 2025, the QAS will formally transition to a Statutory Body, guided by our values and focused on developing fit-for-purpose governance and corporate arrangements that support our vision of Inspiring Extraordinary Sporting Success.
Our ambitious high-performance strategy for the 2032 Games is to create more medal-winning moments for Queensland athletes that inspire their state and nation.

Some of Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Lead the operational requirements for the Gold Coast Hub to deliver effective and efficient support for Gold Coast region coaches, categorised athletes, and performance support to achieve world-class performances and medal success at the Olympics and Paralympics.
- Lead, manage and provide operational support to the performance support team in the Gold Coast Hub and collaborate with resident program coaches and Gold Coast coaches to deliver best practice performance support, quality outcomes for the senior national team, facilitate athlete planning for nationally categorised athletes, and coordinate Performance Team meetings.
- Work with the performance program coaches and Swimming Australia (SA) to formulate training and competition plans and provide logistical support for training camps and domestic competitions.
- Proactively engage club coaches and categorised athletes who train at swimming clubs outside of the Gold Coast Hub and provide opportunities to engage in the Hub to enhance training, education, and performance.
- Lead and manage the operations and performance support for all QAS supported domestic competitions as identified in the Swimming Australia High Performance calendar.
- Support the Brisbane and Regional Hub Manager with operational duties across the Queensland Swimming Hub, including investment planning and management, while providing regular feedback, completing performance reporting, and contributing to the ongoing development and evaluation of the performance support team.
- Provide insight and contribute to the tracking processes to identify, monitor, and support athletes that possess the attributes to successfully represent Australia at major events.
- Build and maintain productive and supportive relationships with Swimming Australia and Swimming Queensland high performance staff to ensure that all parties are updated on the operational needs and performance of the Gold Coast Hub.
- Provide a safe environment for QAS supported athletes and other children and young people engaged with the QAS, free from physical, sexual, and emotional abuse or neglect.
