- Electrical Engineering Technician
- to support the functionality, safety, and performance of critical electrical kitchen systems.
- About the Role
This role is focused on the electrical servicing of commercial kitchen equipment, including diagnostics, repairs, installations, and preventative maintenance. You'll work on ovens, combi steamers, dishwashers, cooktops, refrigeration systems, and other high-use appliances essential to commercial kitchens.
- Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, test, and repair electrical faults in a variety of commercial kitchen appliances.
- Install and commission new equipment with proper wiring, circuit integration, and compliance with electrical standards.
- Interpret complex wiring diagrams and schematics specific to foodservice equipment.
- Assist with the electrical design and layout for new kitchen fit-outs and refurbishments.
- Conduct electrical testing and tagging of kitchen equipment to ensure safety and compliance.
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine safety inspections on key electrical components.
- Assist engineering staff in electrical specifications for custom equipment installations.
- Maintain safe working practices and uphold strict WHS policies during on-site service.
- Skills and Qualifications
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or similar field.
- Experience working with or around commercial kitchen equipment is highly desirable.
- Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Familiarity with equipment brands such as Electrolux, Washtech, Rational, Hobart, etc.
- Excellent understanding of Australian Standards and safety regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple service jobs independently and communicate effectively with clients.
- Valid driver's licence and ability to travel to customer sites.

Pay : $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
