Domestic Assistant

CareWays are seeking Domestic Assistants with a can-do attitude, a friendly and caring nature, to provide assistance to our clients. If this describes you, you may be one of the individuals we seek to join our team in the Illawarra.

About the role This position reports to the Care Worker Supervisor and we have several casual and permanent positions available.

This role provides a range of services to our elderly clients to support them to remain in their home. This includes domestic assistance : dusting, vacuuming, mopping, washing dishes, bed making, washing and ironing clothes as well as shopping and transport to appointments.

The Successful Candidate To be considered you must have :

No experience needed, however previous experience in domestic assistance or cleaning will be highly regarded Driver's licence and reliable car with full comprehensive insurance Smart phone and basic understanding of how to use apps Basic knowledge in using computers and emails COVID-19 booster vaccinated Students completing certificates in Home and Community Care, Aged Care, Disabilities, or Individual support are encouraged to apply! Remuneration Position is subject to award conditions under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 as Home Care Employee Grade 1 ($28.94 per hour plus casual loading if applicable).

Uniform and laundering allowance provided as well as travel time between clients and kilometres ($0.99 per km).
