About the role

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Mining Engineer / Alternate UG Manager to join our Underground Mining Operations at the Coolgardie South Operations. This is a key role that will see you initially focussed on progressing the Tindalls Underground Mine from Feasibility study through to commencement of operations. Following project approvals and project construction and establishment your role will transition to a leadership role as Alternate Underground Manager. This role suits a self-driven individual with a strong and balanced mix of mining technical, and operations skills set and experience.

This role is offered on a 8 days on, 6 days off roster, fly in fly out from Perth or drive in drive out from local Goldfield’s region.

About the role :

You will be an active member of the study team with responsibilities including :

• Initial assessment of applicable mining methods.
• Detailed Mine Designs and Schedules.
• Mine Designs to include major mining infrastructure both surface and underground.
• Full assessment and evaluation of applicable mining methods covering geotechnical, operational, environmental, equipment, productivity levels and economics.
• Selection of Optimal mining method.
• Work collaboratively with key stake holders (Geotech, Geology, Environment, WHS) for securing Regulatory Approvals.
• Assist, when required, in the LOM planning for the existing Bonnievale underground operations.
• Development and Implementation of Planning standards and processes from short-term to Long-term.
• Development and Implementation of mining Critical Risks and Controls (Principal Mining Hazard Management Plans).
• Progress project from Feasibility Study through to construction, recruitment, mobilization and start-up.
• Statutory duties of Alternate UG Manager (as per the new WHS Legislation) at the commencement of operations.
