  • About the Opportunity
  • The People Safety and Compliance Advisor develops, coordinates, and delivers the safety plans with programs integral to the performance, success, and maintenance of our Safety Management System (SMS) and implementation of the CoA Hazard Management Framework and procedures. The position also designs and delivers CoA safety strategies and action plans, focusing on psychosocial workplace risks.

    Some of the day-to-day things you may see yourself doing include :

    • Working across the organisation to complete physical and psychosocial hazard profiles for individual teams, identify a risk-prioritised schedule of actions, and support creating or modifying associated Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
    • Researching, developing, delivering, and promoting programs and initiatives that respond to identified workplace risks and hazards and align with CoA's Work Health and Safety strategy.
    • Working with leaders and the broader People program to design work practices that support physical and psychosocial safety.
    • About You
    • To be successful in this role you will have :

    • The ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and inspire trust and respect.
    • Very well-developed project and coordination skills to ensure delivery of projects to a deadline
    • Experience with consultative Risk Assessment in a diverse workplace environment.
    • Working knowledge of the Internal Audit methodology.
    • Recent experience implementing process changes with an understanding of continuous improvement cycles.
    • Ability to prioritise and be flexible when responding to changing priorities and demands.
