Design & Engineering

CPP has the largest inhouse design and engineering team of any contractor in Australia with over 150 specialists across Electrical Primary and Secondary Civil Structural and SCADA disciplines. We provide endtoend engineering solutions for highvoltage infrastructure from nationally significant transmission projects HV substations wind farms and battery storage systems that drive Australias renewable energy transition.

Our engineers work closely with construction and operations teams ensuring designs are practical constructible and continually refined through realworld feedback. With a commitment to innovation and excellence we deliver solutions that support a stable reliable and sustainable energy future.

The Opportunity

CPP are seeking experienced Senior Design Drafters Civil to join our collaborative national inhouse design team. If youre passionate about creating accurate buildable civil designs for realworld infrastructure projects this is your chance to make a meaningful and visible impact on Australias energy future.

In this role youll be responsible for producing highquality practical design drawings for highvoltage and renewable infrastructure projects across the country. Youll work closely with civil engineers to interpret design concepts and transform them into constructible compliant design packages.

This is a handson drafting role where your attention to detail and technical expertise will directly influence the success of major energy projects. Youll use software such as AutoCAD and 12D to deliver clear wellstructured documentation that supports construction teams on site.

Skills And Experiences

About You

To be successful in this role you will possess :

  • Extensive drafting experience (7 years) in civil design drafting preferably in energy infrastructure mining defence or utilities
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and 12D is essential
  • Solid understanding of Australian civil design standards and best practices
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce clear accurate and wellstructured documentation
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to project delivery
