HSEQ Advisor – Experienced Professional Role

Location : Canberra, ACT (Fully Remote with Site and Client Visits)

Employment Type : Full-time (38 hours per week)

Work Arrangement : Fully work-from-home, with site and client visits as required

Our NECASafe team provides expert advice, hands-on assistance, and tailored solutions to ensure compliance with industry regulators and Australian Standards. From document development to safety compliance reviews and training, we're dedicated to simplifying risk management for businesses of all sizes.

The Role :

We're seeking an experienced and driven HSEQ Advisor to manage the ACT, TAS, and Southern NSW regions. This role is perfect for a professional with a strong background in HSEQ, a passion for safety, and the ability to build meaningful relationships with clients and stakeholders. You'll work remotely, with occasional interstate travel and site visits.

Your responsibilities will include :

Acting as the primary HSEQ contact for NECA members in your allocated regions.

Assisting members with health, safety, quality, and environmental obligations.

Providing expert advice, hands-on assistance, mentoring, and training to members.

Developing risk assessments, SWMS, and providing audit support (e.g., CM3, Pegasus, Ebix).

Conducting consultations, gap analyses, workplace inspections, and incident investigations.

Promoting WHS products and services to contracting businesses.

Building and maintaining strong relationships with regulators, government, and industry stakeholders.

About You :

We're looking for an experienced professional who is proactive, resourceful, and ready to take on a leadership role. You'll thrive in this position if you :

Have experience in the electrical industry or a strong network with regulators, government, or industry stakeholders.

Are comfortable with interstate travel and site visits as required.

Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Are detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.

Can work independently and manage your workload effectively.

The ability to work in Australia.

Clear and effective English communication skills.

Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or higher.

Previous experience in a similar role.

Strong IT and computer skills.

A creative mindset with the ability to suggest improvements.
