The Mater Private Hospital Bundaberg are seeking experienced PACU, Anaesthetics and Scrub Scout Registered Nurses to join our Perioperative team. Recovery and AnaestheticsRN's are highly desired but all applications will be considered.
Mater Private Hospital Bundaberg's perioperative services comprise four operating theatres, central sterilising and a dedicated Day Surgery Unit. The Theatre Complex provides pre- and post-operative recovery room care and specialised endoscopic and laparoscopic procedures. The surgical case mix includes dental, endoscopy, ENT, general surgery, gynaecology, ophthalmology, orthopaedics and urology.
What you'll be doing
Registered Nurses provide evidence-based and contemporary patient-centred clinical care in collaboration with other multidisciplinary healthcare team members. The delivery of care extends to patient advocacy with particular consideration to patients' physical, emotional and spiritual needs that contribute to optimal clinical outcomes.
Registered Nurses are responsible for ensuring safe and efficient care management within the scope of practice and professional guidelines. Still, they may not be limited to legislation, regulations, standards, codes, qualifications, registration and clinical competencies.

To be successful in this position, you will have :
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with no practice restrictionsMinimum of one-year post-graduate perioperative or Day Surgery experienceHowever, if you have limited perioperative experience but have transferrable skills, training is availableExcellent interpersonal, communication and clinical problem-solving skillsDemonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary teamDemonstrated commitment to continued quality improvement and best practice principlesMater is Queensland's largest not-for-profit healthcare provider, delivering exceptional care to nearly 700,000 patients each year across 11 (soon to be 12) hospitals.
