At RJE Global, we specialize in projects involving the provision of electrical balance of plant solutions. This encompasses various aspects such as underground and overhead high voltage transmission systems, substations and switchyards, diesel and gas-fired turbines, wind farms, battery storage systems, and mining process plants. We have established strong partnerships with Australia's leading transmission network providers, suppliers of wind, gas, and diesel generation equipment, as well as prominent mining companies.

Role :

RJE Global are seeking experienced Trades Assistants for the construction of a large-scale battery energy storage systems BESS, wind farms and other resource and power infrastructure related projects. The location of the projects can be interstate regional areas, so travel to rostered work away from home is an expectation. Current major projects include Mortlake BESS in Vic., New England BESS in N.S.W, Summerfield BESS in S.A., Warradarge Wind Farm in W.A., King Rocks Wind Farm in WA.

Responsibilities :

Perform physical / manual labouring tasks in a safe manner

Have good communication, literacy and numeracy skills

Ability to operate, maintain and work safely with hand tools, small plant, mobile plant and equipment

Knowledge of relevant workplace health and safety management plan requirements

Ability to read and interpret drawings

Keeping up with general housekeeping where required;

Attend pre-start and tool box meeting sessions;

Review and contribute to the development of Safe Work Method Statements and sign on accordingly;

Ensure project related data is forwarded to Site Supervisor for inclusion into the handover pack.

Required :

Unrestricted driver’s licence

Construction Industry White Card

Must be able to pass a medical examination and random drug & alcohol tests

Advantageous :

High risk work licence – WP, CN, DG, RB, LF, SB

Safe Work at Heights Training

Heavy Mobile Plant operation experience and / or qualification i.e. Excavator, Telehandler, Tractor, Trencher, Grader, Backhoe, Front End Loader.

Truck driving license (HR / MR) and / or experience

Ability to read and interpret layout and general arrangement drawings

Experience working in large construction environments, particularly remote FIFO scenarios
