Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical

UGL’s Fuels and Energy East business is seeking a motivated Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) to provide safe, reliable and efficient technical expertise to the Maintenance and Projects Teams. You will take charge of coordinating engineering support for our client’s terminal and refining operations throughout the East Cost of Australia.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategically review and plan maintenance works to ensure seamless operations
• Provide a focal point for all technical based queries for associated subcontractors / suppliers for assigned projects and tasks
• Provide engineering advice for subcontractors / suppliers
• Serve as the team's primary representative in client interactions
• Track performance of maintenance key metrics and take action to drive continuous improvement
• Take charge of Tank Turnaround and Off Stream Inspections
• Ensure the team is adhering to the agreed schedule, budget, quality and safety standards

About You

• RPEQ / CPEng Accreditation (bonus) or willingness to work towards these accreditations.
• 8+ years’ industry experience in engineering, maintenance and commissioning for major resources sites within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Chemical industries.
• Sound quality systems knowledge
• Knowledge and exposure to mechanical equipment including pumps, piping, valves and hydrocarbon storage tanks.
• Experienced in implementing maintenance and inspection programs across multiple sites
• Efficient use of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems.
• Sound commercial acumen
• Effective verbal and written communication capability.
