BallyCara is seeking Caring and Experienced Assistant in Nursing (AIN) staff, who want to make a difference by providing Quality resident care and support.
The Assistant in Nursing (AIN) is responsible for aiding in the smooth running of Residental Care by assisting in all areas of activities of daily living and personal care in accordance with the resident's needs, values, and preferences.
As an AIN you will work under the direction of the Registered Nurses (RN) and empower residents to maintain their own well-being and independence. You understand the importance of the impact you can make through your relationships with our residents.
- Skills and Experiences
Essential
- Certificate III in Aged Care / Individual Support or Nursing student with Aged Care placement and experience as an AIN.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills including an ability to communicate effectively with team members, residents, and their family members in a compassionate and empowering manner.
- Demonstrated digital literacy skills to utilise tablet devices or computers
- Demonstrated competence in the provision of contemporary nursing care, and documentation skills
- Strength to cope with the physical demands of this position
Desirable
- Experience or training in manual handling techniques
- Experience or training in dementia
- Staff who are able to work various shifts which may include weekends, evenings, mornings, and afternoons
- Knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards and ACFI will be well regarded
- Second language skills will be well regarded
