This leading independent school are looking for a Property Services Manager to play a pivotal role in leading the property services team. This person will be involved in some exciting capital works planned for the school in the coming years ahead. Here you will oversee the maintenance, operations, and continuous improvements across the school. You will work closely with the Head of department to ensure forecasting for the year ahead is accurate and play a fundamental role in planning and implementing capital works and maintenance works schedules.
The RoleLead and manage the development of the property services teamEnsure all work associated with major or minor capital works is completed to the highest standard and completed on schedule.Work closely with the team to review preventative maintenance processes as requiredConduct monthly meetings with contractors and provide reports to senior managementManage the reporting, forecasting and budgeting for the school with the Head of PropertySupport the property services team and implement ongoing procedures and policiesEnsure all WHS and risk assessments are maintained and updated frequentlyWork closely with external stakeholders in relation to upcoming capital worksBe on call on occasion to address any issues on school campus after hoursReview and manage tenders and contracts, maintaining a register of key suppliersAny other adhoc duties requested by the Head of PropertyWill have previous experience in a similar role leading a team and managing extensive capital worksIdeally have experience within a trade and coordination (preferred but not essential)Experience reviewing and reporting on contracts up to 1 million dollarsExcellent knowledge around WHS and risk managementExperience with procurement proceduresIntermediate -advanced knowledge of Microsoft packagesCan do attitude, with a positive engaging mindsetPrevious experience within a school preferred but not essentialWorking With Children Check requiredExperience managing buildings, property, grounds and maintenance or similarWhat's in it for you?Attractive salary packageHealth and Wellbeing activities, use of fitness centre, weekly yoga classes and wellness seminarsStaff Social Events at the end of each termSchool fee discountsWellbeing spaces on campusSupport provided through their EAP programStaff social events at the end of each term
