Job Description

Dive into Perth's fast-paced news hub! As a 9News Producer, you'll be at the sharp end, crafting top-tier content that grabs our audience and keeps them informed. Own the Broadcast, from shaping content to mastering the lineup—you're the key to a flawless show.

Ready to make Perth's news shine?

Day to day you will :

  • Fuel audience engagement and support the creation of compelling, viewer-focused content.
  • Develop, research, script, and edit impactful stories.
  • Spot the buzz, identify resonant stories and angles that grab viewers.
  • Guarantee content is factually correct and adheres to legal requirements.
  • Problem-solve on-air issues and manage bulletin lineup (Mosart / ENPS).

Qualifications

What you’ll bring :

  • Relevant degree in journalism or hands-on control room experience.
  • Strong understanding of news and current affairs.
  • Experience in TV, radio, or other news media environments.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid grasp of media law and familiarity with broadcast systems like ENPS.
