IT Support Consultant (Desktop)

Brisbane CBD

Contract till January 2026

Are you a skilled IT professional with a passion for desktop support and modern workplace technologies? Join a high-performing team providing Microsoft Windows endpoint management and Microsoft 365 tenant management for Queensland Government agencies.

What You Will Do :

Provide expert support for Microsoft products including Microsoft 365, Azure, and Windows 10 / 11 environments.
Deliver desktop management using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), including OS deployment and application packaging.
Contribute to strategic projects involving customer onboarding, architecture upgrades, and emerging technologies.
Mentor junior staff, identify technical risks, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Participate in after-hours support (on-call / overtime) and be available for onsite support in Brisbane when required.

What You Need to Apply for This Role :

Proven experience in enterprise-level system administration, with a strong grasp of ITSM / ITIL practices.

Demonstrated skills in MECM, Active Directory (particularly Group Policy), and desktop image management (physical and virtual).

Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and resolve issues within complex infrastructure.

Effective communicator with a focus on stakeholder engagement, service delivery, and team collaboration.

Hands-on experience with tools such as ServiceNow, Omnissa Horizon, and scripting languages (PowerShell highly regarded).

Please note :

A Criminal History Check will be required upon commencement.

This role includes the provision of after-hours support via on call and / or overtime arrangements.

This role also requires the successful applicant to be located in the greater Brisbane area with the ability to attend Dept offices at short notice.
