  • About the Organisation
  • Our client is an independent statutory agency that is responsible for supporting a better life for hundreds of thousands of Australians with a significant and permanent disability and their families and carers.

    • About the Team
    • The Transition Communications and Engagement Branch provides engagement and communication solutions and advice to support the Agency to deliver its projects. The branch lead development and implementation of multi-channel engagement and communication strategies to support key projects across the agency and drive engagement with key internal and external audiences.

    • About the Role
    • The position is an important team leadership position and will have delegated authority and responsibility to resolve issues and risks across wide-ranging activities of substantial depth involving significant detail. The role requires providing leadership, control, planning, resource management, performance management and decision making for the Team Membership and assigned Contractors working within the Work Area.

      Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to :

    • Contributing to the strategic direction of projects and business improvement initiatives, driving the strategic and co-ordinated management of targeted communications and engagement activities.
    • Leading staff to deliver timely, innovative, efficient and evidence-based communications and engagement strategies, plans, content and activities that support Corporate Plan and project objectives.
    • Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders within the agency, guiding the team with best practice ways to provide advice, quality assurance and support to business areas to meet their communication objectives.
    • Managing and optimising internal and external communications and engagement channels to reach intended audiences.
    • Utilising reporting metrics to review the impact of communication and engagement approaches, identifying areas of overlap and key gaps to continue to refine and improve plans and strategies.
    • Identifying and mitigating reputational risks associated with communication, engagement and project activities.
    • Fostering creativity and innovation in content creation across a range of channels, sharing best practice and new skills in the team.
