Job descriptionAbout the Role We are currently looking for Experienced Maintenance Co-Ordinator's to join our team in the Western Australian Pilbara Region! Working closely with site-based maintenance planners and superintendents ensuring parts are ordered for defect repairs prior to upcoming PM servicing Assist maintenance planners with weekly shut plans Assist stores in compiling parts for upcoming shuts Carrying out scheduled inspections of our mining fleet to identify and record defects Creating work orders and job packs using AMT CMMS Completing required safety duties such as job inspections, task planning, JHAs, take 5s, and others as required Onsite training and career advancement 8 : 6 Roster Immediate starts available Competitive salary packages Skills and Experience Experience maintaining Hitachi, Komatsu and Liebherr Mining Excavators along with Cat Dump trucks, Dozers and Loaders Australian Recognised Trade Certificate Air Conditioning Ticket advantageous Exposure to ET, SIS and Cummins Insite Experience with AMT advantageous Valid C Class Drivers Licence Take pride in your work and are very detail orientated Strong integrity, reliable and desire to achieve quality outcomes Able to work independently without supervision, as well as in a team environment Previous experience in the mining industry in a similar role Total commitment to safety and environment Able to Pass Pre-Employment Medical Benefits of SMS Competitive above market rates with annual bonuses Training and career progression - Doing as much as we can for our employees! - SMS Mining Services is a privately owned, West Australian based Mining Contractor. Founded in 2000, SMS has progressed from being solely Equipment Rental to now having extensive involvement in the Maintenance, Contract Mining and Drill and Blast Divisions.

This role will ideally suit someone with strong mechanical maintenance experience and knowledge, combined with great planning and communication skills to see you liaise between our Maintenance Superintendents and Maintenance Planners.
You will need the ability to take ownership of casting your expert eye over our extensive mining fleet, identifying, and recording defects, ensuring parts availability and closely working with the planning team to organise upcoming workloads.
