• Tasks & Responsibilities
• Ensure all dangerous goods and explosives (DG / Exp) documents, policies and procedures are current and in line with state jurisdictional legislation and regulatory frameworks.
• Participate in reviews and maintenance of the safety and security system for transporting explosives and SSAN.
• Maintain a formal regulatory engagement plan with state regulators.
• Conduct DG / Exp audits and inspections to ensure vehicles, equipment and drivers are complaint to the relevant legislation.
• Administer and maintain DG / Exp road transport licencing.
• Review, and maintain existing internal policies and practices relevant to DG / Exp.
• Work with business development to support Centurion's DG and Exp growth.
• Contribute to the review and maintenance of transport emergency and incident response frameworks.
• Attend and provide internal and external advice about DG / Exp transport incidents or emergencies.
• Conduct methodical investigations into DG / Exp transport incidents.
• Support HSE team with DG / Exp advice regarding incident investigations.
• Provide education, support and advice on compliance matters to less experienced staff.
• Identify and communicate opportunities to improve DG / Exp transport compliance, safety, and security.
• Provide support and advice to DG / Exp operational managers and schedulers.
• Undertake other reasonable duties as directed by your supervisor.
• Skills & Experience
• Have extensive experience in the compliance management of explosives and SSAN transport legislative requirements.
• Broad knowledge of the relevant state DG / Exp legislation, transport codes and road transport requirements.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills
