We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and professional full-time legal secretary to join our Sydney office

The Role

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and professional full-time legal secretary to join our Sydney office. We are looking for someone who is able to use their initiative, who is proactive, and is capable and motivated to work autonomously. This role will involve :

working on large documents, recording track changes and mark ups;

opening, maintaining and closing files;

preparing legal documents and correspondence;

personal assistant tasks (diary, event and travel management);

liaising with clients and staff on day to day matters; and

billing.

Requirements

To be successful in this role you will have :

minimum 12 months legal secretarial experience in a similar role;

advanced skills in Word, PowerPoint and Outlook;

have experience using document management and billing systems (such as FileSite and Aderant Expert, or similar);

experience in using PEXA (ideal but not essential);

a minimum typing speed of 65wpm;

excellent verbal and written communication skills;

a positive attitude and the ability to manage the workflow of multiple fee earners;

strong organisational and file management skills;

the ability to work well with others in a team environment; and

initiative and the ability to work unsupervised.
