Clinical Specialist

The Clinical Specialist is responsible for assisting surgeons in and out of theatre with Corin products. The support provided includes advice on the correct surgical technique for Corin products, providing training to theatre staff where required and checking surgical instrument sets prior to the commencement of cases.

All aspects of the role must be compliant with the companies' policies and procedures including the Information Security Management System and the ISO 27001standard and the Quality Management System and ISO13485 Standard.

Key Responsibilities : Provide assistance during operations to scrub personnel and to surgeons, whilst dealing with any product / theatre queries which may arise Gain excellent knowledge of Corin Products, competitors and the Orthopaedic market Be available to theatre manager to follow up any potential problems that may occur with the supplying and collecting of instruments Provision of clinical support and case cover Audit consignment instruments and implants to ensure they are in good working order and implants stocks correct for level of usage with no missing stock Review surgeon booking lists against stock and instrument loan sets supplied for cases attended Attend surgical cases when required by weekend roster or in accordance with on-call policy Actively participate in training / workshops and review appropriate surgical techniques. Study relevant clinical articles & data to build knowledge base and provide relevant advice to customers & staff. Minimum Required Education and Experience : Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing, Science or similar Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities : Full, clean driving license is essential Theatre and clinical experience an advantage Results orientated and self-motivated High level of business acumen and ability to liaise with high level surgeon opinion leaders Excellent team and work ethic MTAA OTP accreditation Note : Responsibilities and functions may require adjustment during the period of employment along with evolving business needs.
