We're looking for a Projects and Risk Coordinator to play a pivotal role in keeping our Softwoods Business sharp, strategic and future-ready. If you're someone who loves connecting dots, mitigating risk and helping projects succeed under pressure — this could be your next smart move.
This role's location is flexible across any of these locations : West Pennant Hills, Bathurst, Bombala, Grafton, Tumut or Tamworth.
About the Role
As the Projects and Risk Coordinator, you'll be the strategic link between risk management and project success across the Softwoods Business. This is no ordinary coordination role — it's about embedding risk thinking into the DNA of how we work, plan, and deliver.
- You'll take the lead on
- Risk identification and assessment - identifying potential issues before they emerge and coaching others do the same
- Planning and mitigating - building proactive strategies that keep risk low and project outcomes high
- Coordinating projects - aligning activities, frameworks and actions to deliver consistent results
- Clear, consistent communication - bringing stakeholders along for the ride with updates that make risk feel actionable, not abstract
- Compliance and reporting - ensuring risk activity aligns with regulations and keeping the Softwood Plantations Division Lead Team informed with top-tier reporting
- Your work will influence everything from the day-to-day effectiveness to long-term strategic planning of projects and programs across the Softwoods Plantation Division.
- Your Skills and Experience
- Strong experience in risk management and / or project management, with relevant tertiary qualifications
- Ability to analyze complex data and identify potential risks.
- Experience in managing projects and understanding project management methodologies.
- Meticulous attention to detail to identify and assess risks accurately
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to effectively convey risk-related information
- Demonstrated experience working with compliance, governance, or audit frameworks
- Knowledge of asset management and / or natural resource industries (preferred)
- Confidence working across systems, frameworks and teams to embed change and improve outcomes
- Ability to lead initiatives and influence without direct authority
