About the role

We have a full-time permanent opportunity for an Injury Management Advisor based out of Brisbane, Melbourne, or North Sydney.

Working closely with our P&C and Safety team, along with external providers such as insurers, you will provide expert advice regarding injury management and health matters. This includes supporting employees and collaborating with health practitioners and allied health providers to facilitate injured workers' return to work. You will ensure workers' compensation wages are paid in accordance with legislation and manage workers' compensation and income protection claims to ensure insurers meet legislative requirements.

Main responsibilities

  • Provide specialist advice and facilitate the return-to-work process
  • Manage workers' compensation, common law, and income protection claims
  • Interpret and apply medical advice to implement strategies that promote successful return-to-work outcomes and safe onboarding of employees
  • Maintain accurate claims and health records in SolvInjury, SolvHealth, and Synergy
  • Develop and deliver health and wellbeing initiatives

About you

  • Qualification in allied health or a related field
  • Experience in a similar IMA role providing advice and support for workers' compensation, income protection, non-work-related injuries, pre-employment medicals, and health and wellbeing programs
  • High attention to detail, effective negotiation skills, and adaptable communication style
