Kitchen Hand

Aegis Shoreline Aged Care is currently looking for an experienced permanent part-time Kitchen hands, within our beautiful Shoreline Facility. As a Kitchen Hand you are a valuable member of the team working under the direction and support of the Cook / Chef Manager.

Shoreline is a new, premium Residential Aged Care home located in North Coogee. It is in truly a unique location, adjacent to the beach and overlooking picturesque Cockburn Sound. It provides a beautiful panorama of Garden, Carnac and Rottnest Islands with many bedrooms, lounges and sitting areas having ocean views where the sunset can be enjoyed, every day.

A working day will involve :

• Preparing resident's meals according to dietary / care plans in accordance with developed menus.
• Maintaining a clean working environment in accordance with infection control guidance.
• Ensuring correct food handling techniques are always observed.

You should ideally be an empathetic person who :

• Enjoys working with the elderly.
• Can work independently and as part of a team.
• Is reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
• Has availability and flexibility to work a variety of shifts over weekdays and weekends.
• Has good communication skills and interpersonal skills.

You should possess the following :

• At least 1 years' experience in a similar role (preferably in Healthcare Industry).
• Experience in food preparation and cooking for large number of people.
• A knowledge of food safety.
• Full Australian working rights and able to pass national police clearance.
