With a strategic plan to expand to over 50 centres in the coming years, a brand-new role has been created for a Head of Marketing to work closely with the Managing Director and a high performing leadership team. ABOUT THE ROLE : The Head of Marketing is a highly visible and crucial role and will report directly to the Managing Director. The purpose of the role is to lead the development and execution of major national marketing campaigns that drive enrolments, enhances brand equity, and supports business growth.
In this highly autonomous, strategic and empowering role you will act as the "in-house" advisor on all marketing related matters. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a dynamic marketer with strong team management skills, the ability to balance multiple priorities, and the experience to collaborate effectively across business functions. You'll oversee creative development, paid and owned media execution, centre-level marketing support tools, and family communications.
This is a critical role to assist in driving the business through its aggressive hyper-growth 'expansion phase' whilst implementing best practice throughout the marketing and digital function. You will act as the "confidant" and "right hand person" to the Managing Director, freeing them up to focus on strategically growing the business.
Critical to the role will be working with the Managing Director in developing a vision for superior service in marketing, driving the performance of the marketing team and taking them out of their comfort zone.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES : Reporting to the Managing Director and working in partnership with the senior leadership team, your key responsibilities as the Head of Marketing will include :
Provide strategic leadership by developing and executing the overarching marketing strategy aligned with organsational growth objectives and organisational priorities.Collaborate with enrolments and digital marketing teams to optimise all tactical outputs and ensure accurate performance tracking.Oversee creative development and content production across all paid and owned media channels.Oversee SEO strategy (technical and content-based) to maximise organic traffic to our websites.Develop and implement a digital marketing strategy focused on lead generation and enrolment conversion.Manage paid digital campaigns (Google Ads, Meta / Facebook, etc.) to drive leads.Lead planning and execution of local community events, open days and expos to increase brand awareness and foot traffic.Monitor and report on marketing KPIs including CPL (Cost Per Lead), CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost), and ROI.Collaborate with centre directors / managers and the operations team to align marketing activity with business goals.Manage and evolve marketing support tools for centres, enabling local amplification of key messages.Own the development and delivery of family-facing communications, ensuring consistency, quality, and relevance.Partner with operations and finance teams to develop performance dashboards and insight reports to inform decision-making and optimisation.Lead marketing innovation, including adoption of new platforms, tools, and digital best practices.Manage communications to effectively convey the brand's story and boost awareness.Prepare reports for the executive team with recommendations for improving occupancy.Identify strategic partnerships to increase occupancy in targeted areas.Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary marketing team.Engage extensively with key stakeholders including the Operations Team, Enrolments Team and Centre Managers in the development and delivery of marketing strategies and events.SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE : The ideal candidate is an experienced marketing professional and is confident engaging in discussions with senior executives. You will have a proven success in building and executing data driven marketing and sales strategies that scale brand awareness, increase acquisition, and drive conversion across diverse customer and stakeholder groups. You are passionate about leveraging performance marketing, CRM, and digital ecosystems to deliver sustainable growth. You will be well known for leading marketing transformation, building scalable teams, and enhancing the full funnel, from awareness to retention, with a strong focus on customer journeys. Experience within childcare or within a similar multi-site high growth scale up services business will be looked upon favourably.
You will have a demonstrated track record in driving the performance and accountability of a high growth business. The candidate will be a designated marketing executive with at least 5-10-years' experience in managing marketing teams. He / she will have a track record of adding value through an absolute understanding of key business drivers; the capacity to generate insights; and the ability to predict future performance.
The Head of Marketing will act as a true partner and 2IC to the Executive Leadership Team to provide ongoing strategic support, change management, transformation and efficiency improvements. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for leading and driving new system upgrades, improvements and M&A opportunities.
As the Head of Marketing, you will support the Managing Director for the strategic delivery of business results. The Head of Marketing has primary day-to-day responsibility for shaping business strategies to add value beyond marketing across a broad range of stakeholders and providing leadership to the marketing team. The key success factor will be your ability to business partner and lead a team through the development of performance targets and delivery of group results.
This role not only requires an excellent technical and analytical mind but also someone that can think outside of the box and not be afraid to challenge the status quo.
