Owned by AngloGold Ashanti Australia Ltd (70% and managed) and Regis Resources Ltd (30%), the Tropicana gold mine produces approximately 450,000 ounces of gold annually with close to 40m tonnes in reserve. The Tropicana operation comprises a significant open pit mine with a 6-year life as well as the newly developed the Boston Shaker underground.

The Boston Shaker underground has a mine life of 7 years with significant exploration upside being realised with a large brownfields drilling budget to support Mineral Resource and Ore Reserve growth creating an exciting future. The work within the role and the team is an excellent opportunity to advance your career working at a world-class gold deposit. We are now seeking an experienced and highly motivated Instrumentation Technician to join our Processing team at Tropicana Gold Mine.

Accountable to the Production Metallurgist, this role is responsible for servicing, repairing and optimising the processing plant instruments. This role is based at Tropicana Gold Mine - FIFO 8 / 6 from Perth or Kalgoorlie.

The key accountabilities of the role include but are not limited to :

• Maintaining, servicing and calibrating plant instruments
• Troubleshooting and optimisation of instruments
• Developing and optimising instrument PM schedules
• Making recommendations for trialling new instruments
• Providing relief assistance in the gold room
• Technical support for Processing department
