Logistics Support Officer

Our Australian Government client has a requirement for a Logistics Officer to manage inventory and transport of security equipment. This equipment will be used in the installation of security facilities for the client's overseas property.

• Duties
• Manage project equipment stocks and assist with procurements to maintain required stock levels.
• Manage deliveries and storage of project equipment within Canberra and at offsite storage locations.
• Preparation and management of shipments to overseas missions.
• Maintain an inventory / register to control all security equipment at overseas destinations and in storage in Australia.
• Undertake stocktake and audit of domestic security equipment.
• Work under limited supervision, including planning, prioritising and organising work for self to achieve deadlines.
• Required experience / skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated ability to work individually and as part of a team.
• Ability to work with mínimal supervision in adverse or high stress environments.
• Experience with Gallagher Type 1A Alarm Systems and Electronic Access Control Solutions.
• Experience with Commonwealth procurements including the Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
