As a result of a recent retirement, our client is seeking an experienced electrical tradesperson to become their new

  • Electrical Leading Hand / Tester
  • We're after someone with a desire to take their career in a new and exciting direction.

    • This role will be based in Welshpool, WA.

  • About the client

    • Our client is a progressive and comprehensive electrical service / product provider. Their key specialty is their ability to design and construct integrated switchgear and industrial switchboards.

    The Darwin and Perth-based business has a client base that extends across Australia. However, the majority of their clients are located in the NT and WA.

  • About the role
  • Electrical Leading Hand / Tester
  • will be responsible for :
  • Providing effective leadership to the electrical team
  • Delivering technical assistance to staff regarding the company's products / services
  • Providing technical training / instructions and serving as a technical mentor
  • Monitoring the workshop's compliance with technical, quality, and safety standards
  • Building low voltage MCCs, control panels, distribution boards, marshalling panels, and communications cubicles as per design specifications
  • Assembling modular switchboards and motor control centres
  • Wiring and terminating motor starter modules, incomer modules, power metering equipment, programmable logic controllers, field marshalling, and control panels
  • Building bus bar systems in compliance with Australian standards
  • About you

    • We are seeking a qualified electrical tradesperson with :

  • Sound knowledge and understanding of relevant AS / NZS Electrical and Switchboard Standards
  • Team leadership experience or potential
  • Strong technical skills and experience
  • Sound computer skills
  • A driver's licence
  • A forklift licence (or willingness to obtain one)

    • Prior experience in switchboard building and testing will be an advantage as well as technical knowledge of electrical switchboard products and services.
