• experienced Disability Support Workers who have worked with individuals diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease
• About the Role

As a

• Disability Support Worker
• you will be supporting
• NDIS participants with Parkinson's Disease and other disabilities
• in their daily lives. Your role will involve assisting with
• personal care, mobility support, medication administration, therapy exercises, and community engagement
• ensuring participants maintain their independence and quality of life.
• Key Responsibilities
• Provide
• one-on-one support
• to individuals with Parkinson's Disease, focusing on mobility, daily living, and personal care.
• Assist with
• medication prompting and administration
• as per care plans.
• Support clients with
• exercise programs and therapy-related activities
• recommended by allied health professionals.
• Encourage
• social and community participation
• to improve mental well-being.
• Help with
• meal preparation, household tasks, and transportation
• where required.
• Monitor and document
• health conditions, changes, and concerns
• ensuring clear communication with healthcare professionals and family members.
• Adhere to
• NDIS compliance, safety policies, and person-centered care principles
• Requirements
• Minimum Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, or Aged Care
• or equivalent).
• Previous experience supporting individuals with Parkinson's Disease
• essential).
• Knowledge of
• mobility aids, fall prevention strategies, and Parkinson's-related care needs
• NDIS Worker Screening Check & Working with Children Check
• or willing to obtain).
• First Aid & CPR Certification
• or willing to obtain).
• Manual Handling, Medication Administration, and Parkinson's Disease-specific training
• preferred).
• Driver's License and access to a reliable, insured vehicle
• preferred but not essential).
• Strong
• communication, patience, and a person-centered approach
