You will be working across several programs in the community, duties will be varied but will predominantly be focused on our mental health support work.
This position is located in Tamworth area but will include some outreach to surrounding communities.
There will be access to a work pool car, laptop and mobile phone for work purposes.This is a Maximum Term (till 30 June 2027) part time 18hours (3days) a week position.
This position is attached to the Tamworth office so could suit a Tamworth or Gunnedah person.Key Responsibilities (but Not Limited To)Supporting people with a mental health issue to access the communityProvide case co-ordination for individualsEstablish positive relationships with the clients, staff and other organisationsPromote Anglicare's services in a positive mannerAssess client safety, planning, and intervening where appropriate, by ensuring the well-being of the clientReporting – ensure that reports are prompt and an accurate record of observations, risks, interactions and dynamicsAbout YouTertiary education, Cert 4 or above in social work, psychology / community services / mental health and demonstrated experience in mental health.NSW Drivers licenceKnowledge of mental health issues and the impacts it has on a person's lifeSkills in establishing rapport, respectfully communicating expectations and being assertiveExperience relating to and building rapport with peopleKnowledge of child protection system and knowledge of NDIS is an advantageExcellent observation, written and verbal communication skillsWorking with Children's CheckFirst Aid Certificate desirableTo find out more about this opportunity, please contact Sarah Atkinson on
