About the Role

Liberty Industrial is seeking an experienced and highly skilled HSEQ Manager (FIFO 2 / 2) from Perth to oversee health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) initiatives on major projects in WA. The Opportunity

Our upcoming large-scale decommissioning and remediation projects will be undertaken in challenging site environments and will encompass :

• The safe removal of hazardous materials.
• Deconstruction of infrastructure.
• Strict adherence to environmental and safety regulations.

As the HSEQ Manager, you will be instrumental in leading safety and quality initiatives, ensuring a safe working environment, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve HSEQ policies and management systems.
• Conduct audits, risk assessments, and major incident investigations.
• Ensure full compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
• Lead and develop the HSEQ team, fostering a proactive and safety-first culture.
• Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and stakeholders to align HSEQ objectives.
• Provide expert advice and support on all project-related HSEQ matters.
• Lead investigations and implement strategies to drive continuous improvements in safety and quality performance.
• Develop and deliver training programs to enhance workforce safety awareness and competency.

Your Background

• More than 8 years of Health & Safety experience in a heavy industrial setting, e.g. mining, oil & gas, construction or civil sectors.
• Advanced Diploma or higher in WHS / OHS. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is desirable.
• Demonstrated experience in leading and developing successful HSEQ teams.
• Strong emotional intelligence, leadership, coaching, and mentoring abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to influence.
• Proven experience in conducting major investigations using ICAM.
• Proficiency in HSEQ management systems and reporting tools.
• Strong understanding of risk management principles and compliance frameworks.
