Location : Perth (hybrid working)

Contract length : 6 months (extensions likely)

Rate : $1000 + GST per day

Job description

The ideal candidate will take responsibility for the end-to-end testing lifecycle, ensuring the solution meets business requirements, quality standards, and supports the successful delivery of the project. This role requires a strong leader who can collaborate across teams to ensure the seamless execution of testing activities.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive test strategy, including detailed test plans, schedules, and resource requirements for the project.
  • Manage all phases of the testing lifecycle, including functional, system, performance, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to ensure all testing requirements are understood and effectively implemented.
  • Lead the creation of test cases, scenarios, and scripts to achieve full coverage of the system requirements and objectives.
  • Oversee the execution of test cases, record results, and track any defects or issues, ensuring adherence to the agreed-upon resolution timelines.
  • Establish and govern defect management processes, working with relevant teams to drive resolutions.
  • Ensure test data preparation and validation to maintain accuracy and integrity during testing phases.
  • Provide regular progress reports to stakeholders, including testing status, risks, and mitigation plans.
  • Manage UAT activities by coordinating with business users to ensure any issues are addressed prior to deployment.
  • Identify opportunities for improving testing tools, techniques, and processes and implement enhancements to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

    • Qualifications :

  • Proven experience as a Test Manager or similar role in system implementation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of the end-to-end testing lifecycle and methodologies, including functional, system, performance, and UAT.
  • Hands-on experience with test management tools and defect tracking systems.
  • Ability to drive testing governance, ensuring quality processes and standards are upheld.
  • Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and end-users.
  • Experience in preparing and reporting key testing metrics and dashboards for leadership.
