Scheduling Project Manager 12-month inital contract with 6 month extension option Based in Canberra, Baseline clearance required Job details The Scheduler will play a critical role in the successful delivery of the Simplified Targeting and Enhanced Processing Systems (STEPS) program.
The Scheduler will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring the overall program schedule, ensuring alignment across all teams, and proactively identifying and addressing scheduling risks and constraints to support timely program delivery.
This role requires a strategic thinker with strong stakeholder engagement skills, a detail-oriented approach, and experience in large-scale digital or transformation programs.
Key duties and responsibilities Schedule Management Develop, maintain, and frequently update the program schedule aligned with departmental and enterprise-level planning standards.
Facilitate regular scheduling meetings and reviews with delivery teams and key stakeholders to ensure timeline alignment and identify potential delays and conflicts.
Continuously validate the critical path, dependencies, and overall delivery confidence in partnership with leadership.
Governance and Reporting Provide regular updates and reporting to governance bodies.
Support assurance activities, including internal reviews, audits, and gateway assessments.
Ensure all risk, issue, and dependency information is current and integrated into program dashboards and management tools.
Stakeholder Engagement Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to foster proactive schedule and dependency management.
Act as a central point of contact for scheduling matters across the program.
Provide subject matter advice and guidance to delivery teams on scheduling management best practices.
