KEE Surfacing, our largest division, is renowned for its superior spray seal, profiling, and asphalt crews, and has established a reputation as the industry’s best in WA. Due to continued success and rapid growth, our business has opportunities for a reliable, experienced, and enthusiastic laboratory technician to join our team on a full-time away-work basis.

Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Perform routine sampling and testing of asphalt, PMB, emulsion, aggregate, bitumen, and other raw materials to recognized standards in our NATA laboratory.
  • Document test results and calibration data in compliance with NATA standards.
  • Handle and manage chemicals in line with relevant standards.
  • Conduct procedures safely and ensure all equipment is kept in good condition for testing.
  • Maintain the laboratory in accordance with NATA requirements.

Skills & Experience :

  • Understanding of asphalt / cement or quarry industries (essential).
  • Willingness to travel - starting on a 3 : 1 roster.
  • Knowledge of Australian standards for laboratories.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
  • Team-oriented attitude with a positive work ethic.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to company safety procedures.
  • Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques (or similar).
