Senior Internal Auditor

Are you a driven internal audit professional ready to take the next step in your career? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Internal Auditor to join a high-performing team working with a diverse portfolio of federal and state government agencies based in Canberra (ACT) .

In this role, you'll be at the forefront of delivering risk-based operational, compliance, and regulatory audits , with opportunities to get involved in specialised audits including ESG and broader risk assurance work .

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead and deliver end-to-end internal audits across a range of government clients.
• Engage in specialised audit areas including ESG and risk assurance projects.
• Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across diverse government entities.
• Collaborate with a supportive, inclusive, and culturally diverse team.
• Work flexibly in a hybrid model with the ability to manage your own time and workload.

About You :

Qualified or part-qualified CA, CPA, ACCA, CIA, or a degree-holder with 2+ years of internal audit experience (industry, government or chartered).

Previous experience within federal, state, or local government agencies in Australia is highly desirable, not essential.

Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.

Proactive, adaptable and a collaborative team player.

Comfortable working independently and within team environments.

Australian Citizenship is essential – this requirement is non-negotiable due to the nature of the work.
