With a healthy pipeline of work, we are looking for an experienced and talented Design Manger to join our team. You will bring extensive design delivery experience in both new builds and fit outs across Tier 1 and Tier 2 construction projects across all design disciplines. In this role, you will work closely with the construction and business development teams to achieve the best outcomes for our projects, whilst optimising value and minimising risk.
What you'll do : _Engage in open communication and regular reporting with project stakeholdersAdvise project stakeholders of project risks and resolutions, scope gaps, and Value Management opportunities through regular design reviewsEnsure risks identified in Design Reviews are actioned and closed outCoordinate File Structures and Aconex systems with team members prior to project commencementIssue the Design Information Management Procedures to all relevant participants at project set up and ensure procedures are followedAssist the Estimating and Business Development teams with concept design cost planning and the tender / submission / ECI phasePrepare, maintain, and monitor Design Programme and Design Budgets for submissions in accordance with the contract programManage and chair design meetings and workshops with the project teamParticipate in and provide advice on buildability, safety, programming, staging and cost implicationsIdentify and manage engagement of design consultantsPrepare and manage Consultant Agreements, project contact lists, and Building Permit Tracking SchedulesContinuous improvement of design approaches, systems, procedures and documentationAbout you : _Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management and / or ArchitecturePrevious experience in a similar role in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 environmentExtensive design experience with both large new builds and fit outsSound understanding of design principles and relevant compliance codes in constructionSound negotiation and influencing skillsExposure with navigating SharePoint and AconexExcellent communication, organisation, and time management skillsA strong team focusHow you'll benefit : _5-day work week (exception of Site Managers / Supervisors who work 10 days in 14, with every other Saturday off)Investment in training with the aim to have the best trained workforce in the industryFree health assessments for all staffPaid parental leave for both primary and secondary care giversFast-tracked career development opportunities and support our staff through mentoring, workshops and retreatsIndustry-leading internal communication channels to break down silos across sites, allowing staff to share ideas, lessons learnt and other resources.Video
